The ColorMax 8 Digital Color Printer combines advanced inkjet printing technology with full-bleed, full-color capabilities to provide a versatile, efficient mailing and packaging solution. The ColorMax 8 offers a wider, flatter path than its predecessor, the ColorMax 7, allowing operators to print on and address a wide variety of media including standard envelopes, stuffed envelopes, chipboard, cartons, corrugated cardboard, padded envelopes, and more up to ³⁄₈ thick. Thanks to Formax thermal inkjet technology, the ColorMax 8 requires neither heat nor contact to create an image, so even pre-printed envelopes and windowed envelopes can be processed without marring the original image or damaging the windows.

The ColorMax 8's revolutionary Memjet® print head features 70,400 ink nozzles with no moving parts and automated cleaning, meaning higher production speeds, reduced noise, and lower ink and maintenance costs. As quick as it is useful, the ColorMax 8 is capable of printing 1600 x 1600 dpi at 6" per second and 1600 x 800 dpi at 12" per second. All controlled by a convenient 7" color touchscreen, the ColorMax 8 provides full-color CMYK output, up to 16.8 million colors, and full-bleed capabilities on media up to 8¹⁄₂” wide.
